Together with my wife, I have been working for several years on historical presentations within the framework of Living History or Cultural Heritage Interpretation.
We mainly present our reconstructions at museum events. We try to emphasise various aspects of the everyday culture of earlier living environments in our presentations. In our reconstruction proposals, we try to orientate ourselves as closely as possible to the preserved originals and the current state of scientific research. However, our reconstructions are only to be understood as suggestions which, even with the best surviving sources, can only represent one possible interpretation of historical reality. The theories presented here are based on the available scientific literature; they may not reflect historical reality and can be corrected by more recent findings in ancient studies.
My main active presentations include:
- Late Middle Ages around 1400
- Late Middle Ages around 1480
- Renaissance (Baroque) around 1630
